Case Description

In thoracic radiology, understanding the mediastinum can be difficult because, aside from the cardiac silhouette and the trachea, distinct structures are not normally identified (they are all the same opacity). It is often only when the structures within the mediastinum are abnormal that we can see them radiographically. In this case, you will be given the opportunity to learn a little bit about the structures that run through the mediastinum.
