Case Description

One of the most common issues you will be presented with as a small animal veterinarian in private practice is the acutely lame canine patient. Unlike our equine colleagues, we don’t usually block dogs in order to localize the lameness. Thus, palpation during the physical exam becomes a very important part of the diagnostic process. Pay attention to your physical exam findings, use ALL your views and focus on all the Roentgen signs in this one and you will be a rock star.
