- Understand the different types of periosteal reaction and their relationship to margination/contour.
- Understand the 3 characteristics that determine aggressive vs. nonaggressive bone lesions: cortical destruction, periosteal reaction, transition zone
- Consider the physiologic significance of organized vs. unorganized periosteal reactions.
- Propose possible diagnostic tests that could provide a definitive diagnosis for this case.
